A Look Inside Lincoln Junior High School

Preserving the character and history of a century-old facility is a difficult task, but with the right team it can be transformed into a modern learning environment for students & staff. In collaboration with Nicholas & Associates, Inc., ARCON completed the rebuild of Lincoln Junior High School for Skokie/Morton Grove School District 69. Together, we created a brand new facility that honored the history of the original building while also aligning with the future 21st century needs of the district. Planning open environments that allowed students to easily navigate from space to space, zoning the building to accommodate various community and night functions, and establishing a safe yet welcoming school were all key elements of the design. Thank you to Ten12 Productions for capturing our work and telling the story.
