Finishing Up Construction at Palos South Middle School

Construction is finishing up nicely at Palos South Middle School of Palos School District 118. We are in the final stages of renovating the school’s STEM Lab & transforming their courtyard into a more engaging outdoor learning space. Exemplifying the opportunity to have learning on display, the new STEM lab is featured at the main entrance of the school. Listening to student feedback, the concept of learning on display was further enhanced by installing a trellis/light shelf to help educate students on solar angles based on azimuth and altitude; creating a gravity deck for physics based projects; and painting all exposed utilities and structure to understand the various building functions. Stay tuned to see the finished spaces in the next couple weeks!
