Originally built in 1980, this facility has served The Village as the Fire Station in the heart of Elk Grove Village on Biesterfield Road. The Fire Station was in need of renovations and updates throughout.
Renovations include new heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, roof repairs, and new apparatus bay floors. Throughout the station is fresh paint, new LED lights and ceilings, new flooring (LVT and carpet), and new storage cabinets were updated along with renovations to the bunk room and officers room. “Walk-off” carpet tiles are specially made to collect debris from shoes and boots entering the station.
New digital alarm readout panels have been installed throughout the firehouse, including over bunks, allowing sleeping firefighters to see the type of call from their beds.
