Lake Park West High School decided to remove their natural grass field, and replace it with a synthetic turf field in order to elongate the time of use throughout the year, and decrease the amount of necessary maintenance needed with natural grass. The high school will now be enjoying a field that can be used nearly 100% of the allowable time, compared to what used to be a 4% annual use on natural grass.
The project included a complete infield removal of the existing baseball field. Design and implementation of a new underground drainage system under the entire infield and prepared the subsurface to receive the new field. The new turf field by FieldTurf was installed including the pitcher’s mound, bases, striping, and Lake Park logo.
