West Chicago Elementary School District 33 wanted to redo the old playgrounds at all of their facilities. This was a priority that came from the community during the long-range facility planning stages.
The playgrounds include:
- Poured play surface for ease of maintenance and to minimize injury
- Same equipment at each school for all students to get equal opportunities
- Accessibility to meet all ADA standards
- Reworking of blacktop areas to align better with the playgrounds
