Glenbrook North High School decided to remove their natural grass stadium field, and replace it with a synthetic turf field in order to elongate the time of use throughout the year, and decrease the amount of necessary maintenance needed with natural grass. The high school will now be enjoying a stadium field that can be used nearly 100% of the allowable time, compared to what used to be a 4% annual use on natural grass.
The existing latex track was re-coated and re-painted, and the fence that ran the perimeter of the track was replaced. Also taken into consideration were drainage and detention requirements. At both Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South High Schools various asphalt paving replacements, fencing replacements, and concrete walk replacements took place.
