Lake Park West High School decided to remove their natural grass stadium field, and replace it with a synthetic turf field in order to elongate the time of use throughout the year, and decrease the amount of necessary maintenance needed with natural grass. The high school will now be enjoying a stadium field that can be used nearly 100% of the allowable time, compared to what used to be a 4% annual use on natural grass.
The project included excavation, grading and site drainage work in preparation of a new artificial turf field. Asphalt pavement and concrete work, new fences and gates to better accommodate heavy usage, existing grandstand repairs, and track resurfacing were also included in the scope.
