Roof Replacement at Multiple Sites

ARCON has been involved with Prospect Heights School District 23 for over 4 years in regard to life safety surveys and a long-range facility assessment for all the districts buildings.   The roof replacements at the District Administration Building and Eisenhower School are a result of priorities being identified during these surveys.

District Administration

The existing granulated modified bitumen roof systems were replaced on two roof areas.  These roof areas had been experiencing numerous issues and had been previously patched and repaired.  The existing roof systems were removed down to the structural wood decks and replaced with new roof insulation and a new multi-ply modified bitumen roof membrane with gravel surfacing.  An air barrier was incorporated into the new roof system design and increased roof insulation R-value was added to meet the code required R-30.

Eisenhower School

The existing granulated modified bitumen roof systems were replaced on six roof areas.  These roof areas had been experiencing numerous issues and had been previously patched and repaired.  The existing roof systems were removed down to the structural steel decks and replaced with new roof insulation and a new multi-ply modified bitumen roof membrane with gravel surfacing.  An air barrier was incorporated into the new roof system design and increased roof insulation R-value was added to meet the code required R-30.
