Congratulations to Glenbrook High School District 225 on their recent ribbon cutting for the new synthetic turf field at Glenbrook South High School! It was an honor to be a part of the design, celebration, and ceremony for this piece of history as we celebrate the school's first-ever synthetic turf field.
Not only does the stadium turf look fantastic, it will provide an available, playable surface that will serve the needs of the school and community for many years to come. Glenbrook South should enjoy the use of the stadium field that will increase from approximately 4% annually (on grass), to nearly 100% of the allowable time, now that there is synthetic turf. It is exciting to think about how many more students and groups will be able to utilize this field as it is now the largest classroom space. Whether for athletics, band, or physical education, almost every student that attends Glenbrook South High School will be able to use this field at some point throughout their high school years.
So bring out the football, soccer, and lacrosse teams, along with the poms, marching band, and the physical education classes, to enjoy the use of this beautiful turf stadium field, all that you can, rain or shine, it will always be ready.
